Tonia Coletta is a digital transformation leader and relationship builder who serves as the Director of Digital Customer Experience at Metrie. Growing up in a small country town outside of Waterloo, she developed a deep appreciation for community and hard work early on. From her very first job managing the front lines of a famous food booth at fourteen to controlling the flow of a restaurant as a hostess, Tonia quickly realized her natural superpower was communication and problem solving.
Her path into digital leadership began through a public relations program at Humber College, which led to a pivotal internship at Molson. At a time when corporate social media was completely uncharted territory, Tonia became a pioneer in the space. She navigated the brand through wild, unplanned early days and eventually helped engineer strategic, viral brand campaigns. One of her most notable career highlights was traveling to Sochi during the Olympics to manage the legendary passport scanning red beer fridge, flawlessly connecting a massive global event with fans back home.
Today at Metrie, a century old family owned millwork and door manufacturer, Tonia is leading the charge to modernize B2B commerce. Her strategic goal is to introduce powerful digital capabilities without sacrificing the authentic trust the company was built upon. Tonia firmly believes that successful digital transformation is not actually about the technology itself. It is about building collaborative relationships, organizing complex foundational data, and ultimately freeing up teams to step away from mundane tasks so they can focus on what they do best: connecting with customers.
